If you want to play PlayStation 3 games on your Android phone, RPCS3 Android is a great option. It runs smoothly and is easy to set up, so you can enjoy your favorite PS3 games anytime, anywhere.
In this guide, I’ll show you how to download, install, and set up RPCS3 Android step by step.
Step 1: Download the RPCS3 Android Emulator
First, you need to get the emulator’s APK file from its official website.
- Open your web browser and go to the RPCS3 Android download page.
- Tap the Download button to get the latest version of the APK file.
Step 2: Allow Installation from Unknown Sources
Since RPCS3 Android isn’t on the Google Play Store, you need to enable app installations from third-party sources.
Steps (May vary depending on your phone model and Android version):
- Open your Settings app.
- Go to Security or Privacy settings.
- Look for Unknown Sources or Install Unknown Apps and enable it for your browser or file manager.
- When prompted, confirm your selection.
Step 3: Install the RPCS3 Android APK
Now that the APK file is downloaded and your phone allows unknown apps, it’s time to install it.
- Open your Downloads folder or your browser’s download list.
- Find the RPCS3 Android APK file and tap on it.
- Select Install and wait for it to finish.

- Once done, tap Open to launch the emulator.
Important: If you see a Google Play Protect warning saying “Unsafe app blocked”, don’t worry. Just tap More details and choose Install anyway, as long as you downloaded the APK from the official website (rpcs3.dev).
Step 4: Give Storage Permissions
Before you can start playing, the emulator needs access to your phone’s storage to load PS3 system files and games.
- Open the RPCS3 Android app.
- When it asks for Storage Access, tap Allow so it can detect and load the necessary files.
Once this is done, you’re all set to enjoy your favorite PlayStation 3 games on your Android device!
